Local ASWA All-State Football Players recognized by county commission

The Covington County Commission recognized local student-athletes who earned honors from the Alabama Sports Writers Association for their performances during the 2020 football season. Each student received a plaque featuring a proclamation in their honor. Those recognized included, from left, Gage Theus of Andalusia High School; Jake Wilson of AHS; Chip Morgan of AHS; Peyton Ellis of Opp High School; Kevin Parreira of OHS; Hal Smithart of OHS; Cole Jennings of OHS; Jentry Lee of Red Level High School; Rashaad Coleman of Florala High School; and Anthone Stone of FHS.
