BULLDOG VS. BULLDOG HOMECOMING MATCH-UP
The Andalusia High School Bulldogs are gearing up for a homecoming and region match-up against the Clarke County High School Bulldogs tonight at 7 p.m.
Last year, AHS won the match-up 28-14.
Andalusia head coach Trent Taylor said he has got all of the right people in the right spots on offense.
“I think we finally have people in the right positions offensively,” Taylor said. “In high school football things don’t typically change from week to week. We look at what the other team has set up defensively and we try to take advantage of opportunities that you feel might be there. I think offensively, and I’m not saying we will do a lot of this in the game tonight, but we need to get proficient in our passing game. We aren’t going to hang our hat on that, but I think to have the opportunity to go deep into the playoffs will depend on how well we can improve in protecting and catching the football.”
Defensively, Taylor said their defense has been strong all year long.
As far as the weather tonight, Taylor said it is going to come down to who can protect the football the best.
“Whether it’s sunny and 80 degrees outside or wet and slippery, Clarke County is going to come out and do what they do,” Trent said. “We need to be able to handle some adverse situations if the weather does materialize like they say that it might.”
This is the last game of the regular season for the Bulldogs. They will take next week off to prepare for the first round of the playoffs.
